  • What is CrossFit?

    CrossFit is not just a fitness program; it's a life-changing experience. Defined by its commitment to "constantly varied, functional movement performed at a relative high intensity," CrossFit adapts to individuals by allowing the difficulty of daily workouts to be tailored to each person's capacity. This inclusivity ensures that our workouts are achievable for everyone. Our daily routines encompass a diverse range of activities, including core conditioning, rowing, sprinting, gymnastics, lifting, and more. The overarching goal of all our workouts is to enhance overall flexibility, strength, speed, endurance, and agility, promoting holistic fitness development.

  • I’m not in the best shape… can I still do CrossFit?

    When it comes to CrossFit, inclusivity is at the forefront. It doesn't matter if you're a spirited individual, a seasoned marathoner, recovering from an injury, or mending a broken heart—CrossFit is here to support you on your fitness journey. Whether your recent exercise was a leisurely dog walk or you're gearing up for the Iditarod, we're committed to helping you attain your fitness goals. What sets CrossFit apart is our diverse community, representing individuals from all walks of life—be it stay-at-home parents, elite athletes, students, CEOs, or members of the armed services and firefighters. In our CrossFit community, bodies of every size, shape, and age converge, and our daily workouts are thoughtfully crafted to be accessible to absolutely everyone.








  • What will my first experience at CrossFit Cornelius be like?

    For your initial visit, our priority at CrossFit Cornelius is to ensure you you feel comfortable and at home. A friendly coach will guide you through a comprehensive tour of our facilities. During this visit, we'll sit down with you to discuss your fitness goals, conduct a brief fitness assessment, and provide a detailed overview of what you can anticipate during your time with us. Our aim is to make your first experience at CrossFit Cornelius welcoming and tailored to your fitness aspirations.








  • What is included in my membership?

    What’s best… A treadmill at home? The gym down the street that is $15/month? A CrossFit membership? We’d actually encourage you to ask a different question. What are your goals? Personalized attention? Trained, professional coaches? Accountability? Working out with a group of like-minded people who cheer on your success? If the answer to any of the above is “yes”, then we’d encourage you to check us out. Here is what's included in your monthly membership fee:

    • CrossFit Classes
    • Hybrid|Fit Classes
    • Professional/Certified Coaches for Every Class (This is their career, not just a hobby!)
    • Access to our membership app in 'Wodify' which includes: Workout Tracking; Virtual Whiteboard (Explanation of the next days workout); Movement Video Library
    • Additional Weekly Workouts, including: Endurance Workouts, Core Workouts, Stability Workouts

  • How often do you recommend I come to the gym?

    For beginners, we suggest starting with three days per week during your initial weeks at CrossFit Cornelius. Gradually, progress to four days a week and eventually reach a five-day routine. Upon reaching the five-day mark, we advise incorporating two recovery days per week into your schedule to optimize your overall fitness journey. This gradual approach is designed to ensure a balanced and sustainable progression tailored to your individual fitness level and goals.

  • I heard that CrossFitter’s use their own language, can you help me with the terms?

    Sure! This is a great link that will help get you started.  Word of caution: No need to be intimidated by this… ☺ We’ll walk you through it all!

  • What’s your drop-in policy?

    We love nothing more than having visitors from other boxes come “throw down” with us! If you are just passing through, we charge a drop in fee of $25 per day or offer a week-long punch pass for $80. You can learn more and pre-register for any of our classes by clicking here. By pre-registering you will be able to reserve your spot in class and also fill out the waiver before you even get to the gym. It’d be great if you’d plan on arriving 15 minutes before scheduled class time so we can introduce you to our box, show you around and make you feel at home before the class even begins.
